Cross-National Studies: Interdisciplinary Research and Training Program (CONSIRT) was established by the Departments of Sociology and Political Science of The Ohio State University (DS OSU and DPS OSU, respectively) and the Institute of Philosophy and Sociology, and the Graduate School of Social Research at the Polish Academy of Sciences (IFiS PAN and GSSR PAN, respectively).

The Mershon Center for International Security Studies fosters interdisciplinary faculty and student research on national security in a global context. The Mershon Center encourages collaborative, interdisciplinary research projects within the university and with other institutions around the world. It supports research by both individual faculty members and multidisciplinary teams.

The Committee on Sociology of the Polish Academy of Sciences is an independent nation-wide representation of sociology serving the integration of researchers from the whole country. The Committee is composed of members of the Polish Academy of Sciences and outstanding researchers from higher education institutions.
